Cocoa Beach Explorer is a monthly publication mailed to every residential address in the Cocoa Beach (32931) zip code.  Our goal: to keep the citizens of Cocoa Beach up-to-date about the affairs in our delightful little beachside town ranging from large-scale social events to high school games & performances.  The first issue was published in August 2017.

The concept for Cocoa Beach Explorer was born well over a year before its inception while sitting on the patio with a glass of wine in hand watching the sun set over the Banana River.  My husband and I were discussing the happenings at the previous evening’s monthly Danube River Book Club meeting (cheers to a group of exceptional ladies).

While I was talking to one of the ladies at book club, the topic rolled around to my son’s recent orchestra performance at Cocoa Beach High School.  She was disappointed to find out the performance had been open to the public, but the public, unless you had a child in orchestra, was completely unaware of the performance.  Her comment to me, “I wish I would have known. I would have loved to have gone” was the catalyst for the concept of the Cocoa Beach Explorer.
